Participants will explore how problem-based learning and coherent storytelling in Illustrative Mathematics classrooms build deep understanding, perseverance, and mathematical identity. Through collaborative routines and sense-making experiences, educators will examine how teaching the “why” before the “how” fosters joyful classrooms where all students see themselves as capable mathematicians.
