Mrs. Gerken serves as the Advanced Learning & Gifted Education Coordinator and Curriculum Coordinator for Hickory City Schools. In her role, she collaborates with teachers, administrators, and families to design and support meaningful learning experiences for students in grades K–12. She leads initiatives that promote rigorous instruction, differentiated learning, and innovative programming to ensure students are challenged and engaged at high levels.
Mrs. Gerken works closely with educators to strengthen curriculum development, implement best instructional practices, and create advanced learning opportunities that meet the diverse needs of learners. She is passionate about fostering academic growth, supporting gifted education services, and empowering both teachers and students to reach their fullest potential.
