More than Just the Right Answer: Modeling in the Modern K-12 Classroom

The session will provide an opportunity for participants to review the GAIMME and GAISSE II reports and explore mathematical and statistical modeling and its role in a modern-day classroom. Participants will compare typical mathematical classroom experiences with a modeling classroom experience and discover the Iterative and interdisciplinary nature of the modeling process.
