Participants will be immersed in a thinking classroom experience as they learn some of the key practices of building thinking classrooms. This session is designed for those who are in the early stages of exploring BTC.
Participants will engage in the components of the lesson lab structure and identify potential application for how this could be used for new standards implementation.
This interactive session combines brief presentations from four math coaches with structured networking conversations. Participants will reflect on coaching experiences, discuss challenges and successes in standards implementation, and collaborate with peers to identify practical tools and strategies that promote coherence, collective impact, and sustainable improvement.
What happens after the data meeting ends? This session invites educators to tinker together with student data to move from results to responsive instruction. Participants use a 4 Square Data Dig Protocol to analyze student thinking, identify misconceptions, and guide instructional moves while engaging students in making sense of their own errors.
