In this presentation, participants will look at common assessment items, data sets, and collaborate to provide follow-up learning opportunities. Participants will get access to common assessments from Grade 3 through Math 3 and ideas to support learners.

During this session participants will learn about small suggestions that can be put into action in the classroom immediately. These practices focus on highlighting and elevating student thinking while increasing student engagement. We will engage participants in learning about three instructional nudges that center the brilliance of students' thinking during group work and wrapping up a lesson.
Participants will examine how intentional instructional design, questioning techniques, discourse practices, and inquiry-based learning experiences can elevate rigor and deepen student understanding across content areas. Participants will attempt a challenging problem-solving task without immediate guidance. Afterward, they will reflect on emotions, strategies, and the importance of struggle in learning. Participants will sort sample questions into low-level and high-level categories and collaboratively revise questions to increase rigor.
